Anyway, I've just completed my foundation year, under the roof of PPES, lead by our err dean. Despite the inappropriate use of language he's been using, I think my foundation year went quite well. Not in terms of academics though, I really have to work harder for my bachelors. Seeing other people getting dean's list is very breathe taking, let alone 4-flats. Not that these people are all bookworms ya know. Actually, when you get to know them, not only they are excellent in academics, they are great speakers, musically intuited, awesome dancers and of course, great companions. Being with them makes me feel very humble and tiny. One is largely due to my own shallow abilities, but the most important is that they are too very down to earth.
A lot of things happened, intentionally or not. I was given the opportunity to be working with great minds throughout the year, initiating activities that we never expected ourselves to get involved in. The highlights for my class were the Charity Fun Run, whereby we managed to raise almost RM30K worth of money to be used to help those in need at Kampung Pisang Ulu Rasau. I never voluntarily join a marathon, let alone organizing it! But with ample planning and awesome leadership, we managed to make it happen!
Next, we went to Kampung Pisang Ulu Rasau to lend a helping hand to the natives. It was an honor to be spending some time, knowing them and their way of living. Visiting and seeing them not having proper education and living environments makes us feel very grateful and fired up our inner selves to utilize what ever opportunity given to us, to study and to live well.
We also had an English Carnival, whereby we traveled all the way to Muadzam to meet the fellow PPES students, and Muadzam Shah foundation students there. Had a few activities there, we had to open up booths to empower the English language skills among the students. As for me, I opened up the 'Self Grooming and Makeover" booth. (You can see the immense amount of irony over there). Also we had a little flash mob over there.
Then we were all busy with exam and preparations for the Sports, Convocation and Graduation. Well, all of them went kinda well, not something for me to be proud of though. If only we all were sharp and given more time to prepare, we maybe would have done better for the planning of the events. Oh well, we had fun, that's the most important thing that should be prioritized.
Lol that has kind of wrapped up the whole Foundation year. Riteee. Yeah because most of the activities are cramped in the third Trimester so I don't really have stuff to talk about on the other two. I'm hoping that bachelors years would be better, or if not, not worse than the Foundation year.
I should really like update this frequently, so I myself can see that I actually have something good and productive going on in my life. Take care people :)
